The Programs of The Pinnacle Schools provide diagnosticassessmenteducation and intervention services for troubled teens, ages 12-18, and their families.

There is a marked difference in the treatment environment of a clinic or hospital and an outdoor teen friendly therapeutic program like the Elk River Programs of The Pinnacle Schools.

Hospital-based residential programs suggest illness as opposed to the structured daily therapies, emotional support and peace that can found in the outdoors.

The Elk River programs of The Pinnacle Schools provide both. A Hospital without Walls, we support the medical needs available in a traditional hospital, and the therapeutic environment
provided by the outdoors. Results are achieved by utilizing both proven models and are accomplished through strong relationships with a professional, ethical and caring adult staff.

What began as a single outdoor therapeutic program for troubled teens in 2005 has evolved and grown into four separate and distinct programs, each designed to meet the individual needs of the teen and their family. The three residential programs are:

Elk River Treatment Program - Therapeutic Intervention Program that provides diagnostic, assessment, education and treatment services.
Elk River Academy (Mid-Term Program) - Individualized Transitional Therapeutic and Education Program with a flexible length of stay up to one year.
Elk River Healthy Lifestyles - Teen Weight Management and Education Program focusing on nutrition and positive behaviors while building self-esteem.
