Curriculum Coordinator
Job Requirements:
• Teaching certificate in at least one core academic area
• 3 years experience teaching
• Experience in curriculum development
• Masters degree preferred
• Special Education certification a plus
• Online learning/teaching experience a plus
• Technology knowledge a plus
Reports to: Principal
Start Date: March/April 2012
Salary: This can be a part time hourly position or a full time salary position. Starting full time salary = $34,782.
Duties:
• Review and revise existing curriculum for quality; write new curriculum
• Lead a team to re-align current courses and develop new courses to meet Common Core standards
- Review curriculum under development by teachers and independent contractors for quality control
• Review and align curriculum to state and national standards for partners
• Ensure that all components of curriculum are available to students (i.e.Course Guides, textbooks, lab manuals, lab supplies) and working properly (i.e. links in online courses are not broken)
• Enhance current online curriculum by adding technology components
• Serve as second line of support when answering questions from students about curriculum and academics
• Work with site schools for effective implementation of curriculum
• Provide training to site schools and partner schools in curriculum
• Act as District Coordinator for state mandated tests
• Attend strategic networking meetings (GPEMC)
• Work with site schools to monitor and write curriculum
• Work to increase student achievement and completion rate
• Facilitate an online class
• Research and implement best practices regarding curriculum development and alignment, effective teaching, and delivery of online courses.
• Research, evaluate, and implement technological resources for online classes (i.e. use of mobile devices, instant messaging, online textbooks, interactive components, etc.)
• Collect and analyze data to make decisions for curriculum development and growth of the company.

Travel:
Travel to site schools and partner schools in Maricopa County, day trips only Some travel to conferences and schools, partners across the state and country
