The ATSA website is currently accepting abstracts for the 2011 ATSA conference in Toronto, Ontario.
We encourage submissions from students and new professionals in the field.
For this year's conference theme "Milestones: Past · Present · Future," we invite submissions that highlight advancements in our field, current knowledge and practices, and innovative ideas for the future. The conference committee especially invites presentations that focus on:
Professional development and wellness
Effective strategies for framing communication for the media, policy makers and the community
Restorative justice and cross-cultural healing initiatives
Innovative approaches to risk management
Innovative approaches and roles in prevention efforts
Models providing frameworks for promoting change
Etiology of sexual abuse and implications for treatment and prevention
The application of research to practice
Ethical issues in research, treatment and risk management protocols
Best practices and innovations to assessment, treatment and risk management
