One Size Does Not Fit All
As the diversity of our industry continues to grow, the multiplicity of types of programs, philosophies, and internal structure that programs and their staff provide to families and their children can be overwhelming for those in search of assistance. There is no "one size fits all" solution for every family, and the road map to competence is unique for each treatment center.

Parents Information
One Size Does Not Fit All
One Size Does Not Fit All is a book for parents first and also a helpful resource for .... juvenile attorneys, counselors, juvenile judges, psychologists, psychiatrists, school personnel, and anyone who may need a non-biased and reliable referral source for a family and does not have the expertise nor time to research and visit the hundreds of programs in the United States. Looking for programs and schools for adolescents, teens or even a program for young adults is a somewhat daunting task, especially when you are not sure where to go for help. There are hundreds of programs and schools for adolescents and teens across the country that have been successful in their treatment.
However, as the book discusses, and shows:
One Size Does Not Fit All.
This book will be here to assist you with some tips and to aid you as you sift through the many different programs and schools available to find one that works best for you. There are a number of places on the Internet to find out about programs and schools. Then there are other resources such as attorneys, counselors, doctors, educational/therapeutic consultants, nurses in the emergency room, other parents and school administrators / psychologists / teachers.
Professionals such as attorneys, counselors, doctors and school administrators may have helped kids in similar situations.
They may be able to refer you to some local resources where they have seen kids have some success or tell you about a site on the Internet that "looks good".
Parents who have placed children in programs or schools may also have some good advice to offer based on their experience. Please note however that just because one program worked for a neighbor's teen does not mean that it will work for yours.
One Size Does Not Fit All.
