Immediate opportunity for partnership/acquisition of day & residential/boarding school with 45+ year history. 

 

Gables Academy is a non-profit learning center teaching an affordable SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) accredited curriculum for struggling students ages 9-18. Gables Academy lies on a beautiful seven-acre plot just outside Historic Stone Mountain Village and Park. Our mainstream student population has been ADD/LD, however, we also support those students who have challenges with Aspergers, Bi-polar, depression, high functioning Autism, Minor Alcohol and Drug Issues, and underachievement.

We are looking for an immediate partner and/or availability to become a satellite location for another program.

The current Headmaster has been here 17 years and is available for transition. Students at Gables Academy have available to them a licensed psychotherapist who visits the campus for individual and group sessions.In addition to regular conventional physical education activities, each student participates in an outdoor challenge program which develops self-confidence and coordination, along with problem solving skills. On a campus surrounded by quiet, older residential neighborhoods, and within walking distance of two city parks, Gables Academy gives the students a quality education and a very special place to call home.

Gables Academy offers students participation in multiple organized sports. The school has team sports such as basketball and soccer and individual sports such as tennis, cross country, track, wrestling, and golf. 

The current residence for young men is a beautiful, rustic structure. The current capacity on campus includes 8 boarders/residents plus space for live- ins. The school building handles a minimum of 24 students (6:1 student/teacher ratio) with plans for additional residential buildings.
