"Where have you been?" is the most frequently asked question when parents find Glenholme.
With that in mind I am contacting you to help spread the knowledge of programs such as ours.
Glenholme is a therapeutic boarding school located in the northwest corner of Connecticut in the town of Washington, on 110 acres in rural New England. We treat young people in middle school, high school and post graduates who are clinically complex and fragile with special needs both socially and academically.
Our population hovers 100 students, small class sizes, housing that mirrors a typical home setting and a cadre of programs that are designed to suit the social learning of the population. We invite you to look at our website and share with those you feel might be seeking such a program.
For those parents who are fortunate enough to have their student attend Glenholme, we can say that 100% of our graduates remain successful in society, 95% of our graduates pursued higher education, and the remaining 5% chose employment and career building.

Our Mission
The Glenholme School is a specialized boarding school that provides a therapeutic program and exceptional learning environment to address varying levels of academic, social and emotional development in boys and girls ages 10 to 18 and postgraduates.
The goal is to prepare our graduates for continued education in traditional schools, boarding schools, colleges and universities.
Our Program
Glenholme offers an individually prescribed learning environment with a steadfast academic curriculum. Using our effective individualized services, we apply a positive behavior support model focused on development of social skills and lifelong strategies for success. The school’s milieu therapy addresses the varying special needs development in our students and is present in every aspect of student life.
