Paint Rock Valley Updates

Dear Friends and Colleagues, 

We hope that you all had a wonderful Holiday season and that 2010 is off to a great start for you!  We know that everyone is busy trying to get back into the routine of our lives, but we wanted to take just a few minutes of your time to share some exciting news from Paint Rock Valley.  We worked hard in 2009 renovating some of the existing buildings on campus and are proud to announce that our kids are now living in indoor cottages with heat, air, electricity and indoor plumbing.  This is a very big change in the living environment for our kids who were previously in rustic cabins.  All of our boys and girls moved in over the holidays, which was just in time for our burst of cold winter weather! 

While we are very excited about this change to our program, we continue to hold true to the benefit of the natural setting for our kids. 

We are continuing with our adventure based programming through our climbing tower, low and high ropes course along with our Equine Program. 

We are continuing to provide quality Educational Services to our students with our SACS accredited school and certified teachers, along with our clinical services which include weekly individual counseling, daily and weekly group counseling and family therapy.  One of the strongest components of our program continues to be the family involvement.  This is accomplished through monthly Family Support Days, monthly visits with the students on and off campus, family conferences, an on-line family community board, phone calls and letter writing.  

We hope you all have a safe, prosperous and healthy 2010.
