8th ANNUAL
WILDERNESS THERAPY SYMPOSIUM
Proposals Now Due
September 24-26, 2010 - Bouler, Colorado
We received 67 proposals so far and it seems that there are more of you who want a chance to present. Many have asked for an extension to the deadline. So, in the interest of allowing everyone a chance to submit a proposal, we will continue to accept proposals until:
Friday morning, March 12th.
FYI, we need more "experiential" proposals with fun games and activities for our participants. We are not interested in more "theory-based" proposals unless they have a strong experiential component.
Please be sure to follow the instructions. We will not accept proposals that do not meet the guidelines below.

You may apply to facilitate the following types of workshops:
- 1.5-Hour Sessions - These shorter presentations are a great opportunity to expose participants to various theories and ideas. Sessions are held in a classroom setting. 1.5 hour presenters receive free admission to the symposium.*
- 3-Hour Sessions - These extended sessions are an opportunity to share clinical skills, wilderness skills, or other topics that require audience participation. Sessions are held in classroom settings or on the lawn. 3-hour presenters receive free admission to the symposium.*
- 6-Hour Workshops - These in-depth experiential workshops take place in outdoor, natural settings in and around Boulder, Colorado. Examples of previous workshops include climbing, primitive skills, outdoor therapeutic skills, process groups, rites and rituals, etc. Those who are selected to present these workshops will receive $400 compensation, up to $200 travel stipend for out of town presenters, and free admission to the symposium.*
* Please note that Naropa offers one free admission / stipend per session or workshop. If there are multiple presenters, free admission / stipend will be split.
