Parent Resources for Personal Research
Is your child, teen or young adult in need of some form of intervention?
Call 1-866-833-6911 toll free for a consultation with an independent educational consultant and specialized expert in the residential and wilderness treatment care industry.
Each child's needs are unique. Let's be sure to get your child the care that will ensure long-term positive results in a caring, compassionate and safe environment that has been interviewed, researched and visited.
An abusive or restrictive setting will not build the confidence and self-esteem that your child needs.
When your child is in need of help - be sure to choose the appropriate level of intervention he or she deserves and needs. We are the first step in that process when you choose to work with an educational consultant. We will assess your situation, answer any questions you may have, share our knowledge, and when you agree to work with us, point you in the right direction with compassion and support. We are a for-profit organization serving families - our service packages are based on different levels of needs, offering different costs.
For a free initial consultation - call us toll free at 1-866-833-6911. For parents who choose not to work with an Educational Consultant, please be aware that not all programs are alike.
There are many different treatment options available and we have chosen to have only those programs we have pre-screened to be listed on our site.
Choosing the program that best fits your child's needs is what is most important. You must screen programs based on location, philosophy of program, and price. Always ask to speak with the Admissions Director, Clinical Director, Program Director, or owner.
Please be aware that there are salespeople and telemarketers who are potentially giving advice based upon the commission they receive when placing your child in a particular program or school.
Be insistent on speaking to the Admissions Director, Clinical Director, Program Director, or owner. Yes, their time is valuable, however, so is your child. Make sure the program is state-licensed and accredited academically. Ask about the credentials of other staff that will be involved in the day-to-day care of your child. Ask for the Parent handbook ahead of time and read it, carefully. Ask about the nearest hospital and medical facility. Ask about security and the physical lay out of the facility. Ask for the contract and enrollment agreement ahead of time, and read them, carefully. Visit beforehand if at all possible and always on a weekday. Listen to your intuition. Meet the staff and the students and have time to speak with some students without the staff being present.
Inspect the kitchen and nursing station. Meet the Academic Director.
And remember, no program can guarantee specific results. There just are no guarantees.
When you feel this is creating more stress for you than you are already coping with, or realize that this is not your area of expertise, please seriously think about the assistance of an Educational Consultant. Call 1-866-833-6911 toll free for a consultation with an independent educational consultant and specialized expert in the treatment care industry.
