Our personal and small collaborative practice at Horizon Family Solutions brings together more than 40 years of experience in educational assessment and consultation, parent coordination as well as family guidance. Collaboration between us and your student and family is the foundation of our joint efforts.
Dore Frances, M.A. Founder of Horizon Family Solutions is our lead educational and therapeutic consultant as well as a wilderness field liaison.
Dore has a Masters Degree in Child & Family Studies and is currently working on her doctorate degree in Child & Family Leadership with an emphasis in Advocacy. Dore has returned to college out of a compassionate desire to research the potential of utilizing her personal and professional background in continuing work with children and families together.
David Heckenlively, MS, MFT is our collaborating therapist and therapeutic consultant and also is a wilderness field liaison.
As a licensed psychotherapist, David brings over 15 years of experience helping adolescents, young adults and families. David also believes that a challenging and exciting academic experience is an integral component of an adolescent’s healthy life.
Both Dore and David specialize in adolescent, teen and young adult needs.
Additional collaborators help us maintain the diversified range of services offered in order to meet the specific needs of our clients. We have the expertise and collaborative teamwork to bring each family the highest level of assessment, guidance and support for their individual and unique needs.
